1. Identification of personal “cause(s)”
A priority is to identify and articulate what the client really cares about. Everyone has a cause(s) for which they care
deeply. Taking the time to identify meaningful causes builds the foundation. This piece is critical to then establish a
strategy for giving that addresses the cause. If life has not presented "a cause”, this process gives all parties a
chance to explore varying causes.

2. General Education regarding all available philanthropic options and best practices
Generally clients are aware of only two options. Either start a foundation or write a check to an existing charity. The
Justis Group gives you all options like donor advised funds, restricted grants, technical assistance, capacity
building, and when and how to use each option. Within each option lies the opportunity to customize and tailor your
giving to your highest values and brand strategy.

3. Due diligence and evaluation of existing and future donations
The Justis Group provides research, meeting coordination, evaluation, etc. on existing and future donations. This
assures the client they are dealing with reputable people and organizations. This service adds value as they feel
protected and part of a team in your community engagement. It also frees time to focus on other aspects of your life.

4. Creation of a fitting and comprehensive giving strategy
Once you know all of your options, The Justis Group begins to narrow in on what makes sense for you. How much
money you want to give back, how invested want to be in terms of time, and where you want to give are all questions
important for the long term success of your plan. Creating a plan specific to those questions lays the foundation for
a long term customer/client relationship.

5. Partnership creation and management
One of they key services offered is the creation and management of partnerships and or alliances with individuals
and organizations outside the athletic world. Connecting an athlete with visibility and an individual or organization
with wealth can be a strong partnership. Connecting a client with an existing charity doing great work allows for
evaluation and learning regarding programs. It can also save time and money as there may not be a need to
"reinvent the wheel. This also includes building partnerships with existing philanthropic professionals who are the
best in their fields.

These partnerships may open doors for clients to obtain marketing and public speaking opportunities.

6. Alignment of giving strategy with existing brand strategy
The Justis Group makes sure the giving is in line with your overall strategy for brand advancement. A refined giving
strategy can often compliment a marketing strategy. Similar to “cause marketing” for corporations this allows money
